RiverKings ReachOut

Helping the Mid-South Community, One Organization at a Time

RiverKings ReachOut

Originally labeled the Maddox Sports Donor Advised Fund, the RiverKings ReachOut Fund (RKRO) is housed at the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi and serves as the non-profit arm of the Mississippi RiverKings. Through the 2015-16 season, the RiverKings distributed more than $78,000 through the RKRO Fund.

Who is eligible to apply for a RiverKings ReachOut Grant?

In order to qualify for a grant from the RiverKings ReachOut Fund, the following criteria must be met by the benefiting organization:

  • Operate and benefit those in the Mid-South area or are a national branch of a local cause
  • In good standing with the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and can provide a determination letter
  • Participation in a RiverKings fundraiser

How do we raise funds?

The monies came from the Maddox Sports Donor Advised Fund, which was created in 2004 by the RiverKings Hockey Team to further philanthropy in the Mid-South. Donations to this fund come exclusively from our loyal fan base, season ticket holders, and corporate sponsors. Monies disbursed have gone to support many charitable causes over the years and are exclusively raised through the efforts of the hockey team.

Who do we benefit?
