Successful Fundraising Efforts Aplenty During RiverKings Opening Weekend

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - As the longest running professional sports franchise in Mississippi, the RiverKings are proud to partner with local organizations and charities in the community.

This past weekend as the doors opened on a 2017-18 season for the RiverKings, it wasn’t only the team on the ice who was winning. Five different groups were in attendance for the RiverKings first two games of the season and thanks to their strong efforts in fundraising, a total of $3,268 was given by The Maddox Foundation and the RiverKings Reach Out fund directly back to those groups.
Groups in attendance included:
  • Cross Creek Christian Academy
  • DeSoto Central Middle School
  • Germantown Education Foundation
  • Houston Levee Community Center
  • Sacred Heart School
