RiverThing Celebrates Rockey's Birthday at AutoZone Park

MEMPHIS, Tenn – Rockey the Redbird turned 19 years old on Sunday, and his best friend and fellow avian RiverThing was in attendance to celebrate at AutoZone Park. In a day that was filled with free ice cream for baseball goers, unique games between innings, and of course, cake, RiverThing gave out hundreds of high-fives and took photos with fans. RiverThing even spent some time flapping around the inflatable slide out in right field.

RiverThing has been increasingly busy this summer as part of the RiverKings ReachOut program, with more Sticks are for Kids stops scheduled this week. You don't have to be a minor league sports team to have RiverThing visit your event! To schedule a mascot appearance, Sticks are for Kids day for your youth group, or any community appearance which may help your program gain exposure, call Community Development Coordinator TJ Chillot at 662-253-0177.
