HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Mississippi RiverKings (0-2-0) had chances early on, but could not convert as they fell to the Huntsville Havoc (2-0-0) 3-0 in the final exhibition game of the 2013-14 season.

While the teams traded opportunities early in the opening frame, the Havoc struck first midway through the period. Nick Lazorko beat Dan McWhinney as he took Justin Cseter's pass open in the slot to put Huntsville ahead 1-0.

After a scoreless second, the Havoc scored two in the third. Justin Fox buried a cross-ice pass from Derek Foam on a five-on-three advantage to increase the RiverKings' deficit to two 6:22 into the final frame. Nick Lazorko added extra insurance with his second goal of the game at the 8:41 mark to give the Havoc the 3-0 victory.

Dan McWhinney stopped 13 of 14 shots against in 29:57 of action, while Matt Krahn turned away 19 of 21 in the final 30:03. For Huntsville, Kevin Genoe was a perfect 15 for 15 in the first two periods and Jesse Kallechy stopped three shots in the third.
