2016-17 RiverKings Schedule Released

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Mississippi RiverKings, the longest continually operating sports franchise in the greater Memphis area, and the Southern Professional Hockey League are proud to announce the 2016-17 regular season schedule. The RiverKings will begin their sixth season in the SPHL with a home-and-home series versus newcomer Evansville. RiverKings continue MVP fundraising for 2016-17 season

RiverKings announce 2016 playoff roster

RiverKings take early lead, get point in Peoria

PEORIA, ill. - The Mississippi RiverKings (26-15-9) took a lead into the third period and walked out of Peoria with a point as they fell to the Peoria Rivermen (35-12-3) 3-2 in overtime on Friday night. After a scoreless first period, the RiverKings tallied a pair of goals in a 62-second span to go on top. RiverKings drop weekend finale 5-4 in a shootout

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Todd Hosmer tallied a pair of goals as the Mississippi RiverKings (26-15-8) took a point away from the Fayetteville FireAntz (25-19-3) as they fell 5-4 in a shootout on Friday night in Southaven. SPHL suspends Campbell for one game

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Thursday announced that they have suspended Mississippi’s Reid Campbell for one game for his actions in Game 213, Huntsville at Mississippi, placed on Tuesday, March 15.  At the 1:48 mark of the second period, Campbell was assessed a minor penalty for illegal contact to the head.  Campbell will miss Mississippi’s game against Fayetteville tonight.
