Barone stops 47 in RiverKings shootout win

Peoria, Ill.  -- The Mississippi RiverKings (15-7-2) returned to the win column Saturday night, beating the Peoria Rivermen (11-4-7) 3-2 in a shootout at the Peoria Civic Center.  A night where Brad Braone made 47 saves to help keep the RiverKings in the game. Taulien tallies in 3-1 loss at Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. -- The Mississippi RiverKings (14-7-2) came up short on Friday against the Peoria Rivermen (11-4-6) by the score of 3-1 in the first half of a two-game road trip. Peoria struck first with a Justin Hoomaian shot from the slot at 9:22 of the first period. Jeff Jones earned the primary assist by finding Hoomaian in traffic from below the goal line. Di Salvo moves up to ECHL Wichita

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.  -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that goal Peter Di Salvo has been called up to the ECHL Wichita Thunder. Di Salvo, 26, joined the RiverKings in 2014 and has played in 65 games in his career with the team. His 1695 saves in that time place him second for the RiverKings in the SPHL era. RiverKings to start cell phone recycling effort

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  The Mississippi RiverKings, the Mid-South's longest continually operating professional sports franchise, have announced their cell phone recycling fundraiser with The Wireless Alliance. RiverKings erase early deficit, earn point in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.  -- The Mississippi RiverKings (14-6-2) erased a three-goal deficit to earn a point as they fell to the Knoxville Ice Bears (11-6-2) in overtime 4-3 on Tuesday night in Knoxville. RiverKings acquire second-year defenseman Hoshaw from FireAntz

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.  -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has acquired second-year defenseman Steven Hoshaw from the Fayetteville FireAntz in exchange for goaltender Alex Caffi. RiverKings lose two to call-up

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.  -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced that forward Mike Moran and defenseman Chris Leone have been called-up by ECHL Atlanta and Toledo respectively.
