RiverKings bolster blueline with Willmott's return

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that defenseman Dean Willmott has been returned from loan to ECHL Brampton. Willmott, 26, rejoins the RiverKings after playing in eight games in the ECHL with Missouri, Adirondack and Brampton, The 6-foot-3, 210-pound blueliner collected two assists and did not record a penalty minute. PEORIA, ill. - The Mississippi RiverKings (26-15-9) took a lead into the third period and walked out of Peoria with a point as they fell to the Peoria Rivermen (35-12-3) 3-2 in overtime on Friday night. SPHL suspends Campbell for one game

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Thursday announced that they have suspended Mississippi’s Reid Campbell for one game for his actions in Game 213, Huntsville at Mississippi, placed on Tuesday, March 15.  At the 1:48 mark of the second period, Campbell was assessed a minor penalty for illegal contact to the head.  Campbell will miss Mississippi’s game against Fayetteville tonight.
