Sheldon returns to Blann's Martial Arts

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, and Broadcaster Lukas Favale visited Blann's Martial Arts on June 25 to teach their summer campers the basic fundamentals of hockey as part of the RiverKings "Sticks are for Kids" program. Sheldon visits campers at Camp B.O.L.D

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, visited Camp B.O.L.D at Longview Heights Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 23. It is the first of four visits the RiverKings will make to Camp B.O.L.D in the next few weeks. Sheldon walks at CSF Unite@Nite Walk

HORN LAKE, Miss. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot Sheldon the Turtle participated in the first annual Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation (CSF) Unite@Nite Walk at Latimer Lakes Park in Horn Lake Sunday evening.  The walk raised money for the Horn Lake chapter of CSF, a national foundation aimed at finding a cure for Chiari malformation (CM), syringomyelia (SM) and related disorders. Coach Landmesser teaches hockey at Blann's Martial Arts Camp

RiverKings to unveil new logo July 7

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  The Mississippi RiverKings, the longest continually operating sports franchise in the greater Memphis area, have announced today that they will officially unveil their new primary logo at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7. The unveiling will take place in rooms 6 and 7 at the Landers Center and the event is open to the public, free of charge. RiverKings Scott Darling wins Stanley Cup

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  Former Mississippi RiverKings goalie Scott Darling became the first former RiverKings player to win the Stanley Cup when the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, 2-0, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final Monday night in Chicago.  Darling, 26, played one season for the RiverKings in 2011-12 and in 35 games he was 15-17-1 with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. Sheldon lends a hand at the Le Bonheur Cereal Drive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Mississippi RiverKings mascot, Sheldon the Turtle, was on the street collecting donations during the Le Bonheur Cereal Drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank Friday, June 5. Sheldon joined volunteers from the Mid-South Food Bank, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America to collect monetary donations to the Mid-South Food Bank.
