RiverKings slip up in Louisiana

SOUTHAVEN, Miss –  The Louisiana IceGators (11-6-2) used a three-goal third period to squeeze past the Mississippi RIverKings (6-11-2), 4-2, Saturday at the Cajundome.  The RiverKings blitzed the IceGators early in the first, taking a 1-0 lead just 19 seconds into the game. RiverKings sign forward Delisle

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that Dan Delisle has signed a contract with the team. Terms and conditions were not released. Delisle, 24, was on a three-game tryout contract with the RiverKings, which ended after last night's 5-3 win in Knoxville. Teddy Bear Toss nets over 580 toys

SOUTHAVEN, Miss –  While the Mississippi RiverKings took two of four points from the league-leading Pensacola Ice Flyers this past weekend, the team made a community impact on the ice as well. The RiverKings held their annual Teddy Bear Toss December 13 at the Landers Center and encouraged fans to bring a new stuffed animal to the game. Third-period surge sends RiverKings to 5-3 win

KNOXVILLE, TN –  The Mississippi RiverKings (6-10-2) scored four goals in the third period, including three unanswered in the first five minutes, to race past the Knoxville Ice Bears (11-6-1), 5-3, Thursday night at the Knoxville Ice Coliseum.  The RiverKings grabbed the lead late in the first period by converting on an Ice Bears defensive zone turnover.
