Mississippi’s Matt Harrington named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC   – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Matt Harrington of the Mississippi RiverKings is the Easton Player of the Week for December 22-28. Harrington scored three goals, including two game-winners, and added two assists in leading the RiverKings to a pair of wins last week. RiverKings sweep home-and-home with IceGators

LAFAYETTE, LA --  The Mississippi RiverKings (9-11-2) won another close game with the Louisiana IceGators (11-8-3), 3-2, at the Cajundome in Louisiana to win both ends of a home-and-home series with the IceGators. After a back-and-forth second period Linden Bahm broke the tie with the eventual game-winning goal in the third. Harrington Becomes First RiverKings Call-Up of the Season

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings forward Matt Harrington has been loaned to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers, the team announced today. Harrington, 24, is second on the team with 17 points (10g, 7a) in 21 games this season. He has back-to-back shootout game-winning goals for the RiverKings. RiverKings win second straight shootout

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The RiverKings jumped out to a quick lead on Louisiana for the third time in five matches between the teams this season. RiverKings beat Havoc in a shootout, 2-1

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. –  The Mississippi RiverKings (7-11-2) outshot the Huntsville Havoc (3-11-4) 49-19, but needed a shootout to come away with a 2-1 win at the Landers Center Tuesday night. Matt Harrington scored the only goal in the shootout and Adam Courchaine stopped all five shots to get the win.
